Traveling Quote

So I spent yesterday evening in San Jose, spent the afternoon in the air and at the Phoenix airport and the morning in my bed. Today I spent but a fraction of the morning in San Jose, spending most of the rest of the morning in the air, doing a pit stop at the Phoenix Airport, then spending the afternoon in Temecula before resting my head at home. Total time spent in San Jose, 10 hours; total time spent getting there and back home, 14 hours. :(

Morale of story, if it takes you longer to get to your destination than the time you’re going to spend at your destination then it’s probably worth rethinking your mode of transportation.

Needless to say, I found myself in a philosophical mood this fine morning, as such I share with you this quote:

What you’ve done becomes the judge of what you’re going to do – especially in other people’s minds.  When you’re traveling, you are what you are right there and then.  People don’t have your past to hold against you.  No yesterdays on the road.  ~William Least Heat Moon, Blue Highways
