Facebook Malware SPAM Chats

To family friends, most of you likely live on Facebook sharing all your awesome details and humorous rants, but please surf Facebook cautiously.

I’ve been monitoring the interwebs for a few days and have been seeing a lot of discussion on SPAM bots distributing malware via Facebook emails, Sopho’s reported on it as well, but then yesterday and today someone start pinging me via Facebook chat informing me that a picture of me was on a video.

I will admit, I almost checked, I just don’t ever know where my picture ends up and trying to remember all the nonsense I do is difficult. But I didn’t, and you shouldn’t either.

In all seriousness, please don’t fall victim to this social engineering attempt. This is what it looks like via chat:
